Forgetful Privacy Policy

Forgetful is operated by Anna Sapegina. This policy covers the iPhone app and this website.

Forgetful helps you create and manage tasks on your iPhone. You do not need an account.

Tasks and voice input

Tasks, schedules, completion history and settings are stored on your device. Forgetful does not upload this content to a developer server. Voice recognition and command processing run on your iPhone. Audio and the working transcription are used for the voice session rather than retained as a recording history. Temporary audio is removed when the session ends; abandoned recordings are cleaned up on a later launch.

Downloads and network access

Optional language resources are downloaded separately. The downloaded language pack comes from Hugging Face and its delivery infrastructure. Those services receive network-request information such as your IP address and the requested files. Their handling of this information is described in the Hugging Face Privacy Policy. Your task contents and voice recordings are not included in these download requests. Apple may provide system language resources under its own privacy practices.

Backup and notifications

Task data and settings may be included in backups managed by iOS. Downloaded model files are excluded from backup. Notification previews and widgets can display task information according to your device settings. You can control these surfaces in iOS Settings.

Your choices

You can edit or delete tasks, clear completed history in Forgetful Settings, and remove the downloaded language pack without deleting your tasks. There is no Forgetful cross-device synchronization. Removing the app removes its local app data subject to iOS behavior; copies in device backups are managed through Apple's backup controls.

Support

If you contact support, the support operator receives your email address and the information you choose to send, for responding to your request. Do not include private task contents unless needed to explain your issue.

This website

This website is hosted on Vercel. Delivering and protecting the site involves technical request information, such as your IP address, browser information and requested page. See Vercel’s Privacy Notice. We do not add advertising trackers or analytics to this website, and we do not use cookies to remember your language: the language is part of the page address.

Retention and requests

Tasks and completed history remain on your device until you delete them. Support correspondence is used to handle your request and retained only as needed for support and applicable obligations. Hosting and download providers handle their technical records under their own policies. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information we hold by emailing the contact above. We cannot access or delete the tasks stored on your iPhone. You may also contact your local data protection authority.

Changes

Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated effective date.
